Members with geo enabled check in automatically when they enter the gym radius. No reminder to scan, no forgotten check-ins.

Class caps, waitlists, and trial tracking

Every class has capacity. Members waitlist automatically when a class fills. Trial members have class counters that decrement on each check-in and auto-block when used up.

Check-In questions, answered

Does kiosk mode require an internet connection?

It works online for live attendance, with an offline buffer for short network drops. Queued check-ins sync up with their original timestamps when the connection returns.

Can a member check in if they don't have the app installed?

Yes — kiosk mode lets a member tap their photo on the front-desk iPad without any app. QR mode requires the app, and admin override lets staff check anyone in manually.

How does geo check-in handle members who arrive but never tap?

Geo check-in fires automatically when a member with location enabled enters the gym radius (configurable per-location, typically 50-100m). The app needs to be running in the background; if it's force-quit, the geo check-in won't fire.

What stops one member from checking in five times for free classes?

Trial-class counters decrement on each check-in regardless of mode. Once the counter hits zero, the member is auto-blocked from check-in until they convert to a paying plan or staff manually overrides.

Can instructors see who's on the mat in real time?

Yes. The instructor view on the dashboard shows a live attendance feed for the current session — names, photos, rank, and any waiver expiry warnings or open injury notes.
