For judo dojos

Rank lineage. Mat time. Handled.

Kyu-to-Dan promotion history, shiai registration, and attendance — respectful of tradition, built on modern rails.

The usual mess

What Judo gyms deal with today

  • Paper rank cards that get lost when a student moves dojos
  • Handwritten attendance sheets nobody can actually analyze later
  • Shiai registrations collected by check or cash
  • No way to surface which students are ready for their next grading

How OLM fits

Built specifically for Judo

Kyu and Dan tracking with promoter lineage

Every grading recorded with the issuing sensei, date, and context. If a student moves to another dojo that also runs OLM, their Dan rank lineage travels with them.

Attendance against grading minimums

Set mat-hour requirements per rank. OLM tells you who meets the threshold for their next grading and who's short.

Shiai & event registration

Stripe-powered sign-ups for tournaments and events. Members pay from the app, you get a clean registration list with waiver status.

Multi-discipline aware

A judoka who also trains BJJ keeps separate ranks per art. Cross-training students are first-class in the system.

Rank system

Judo-native rank handling

Supports the full kyu (white through brown) and dan progression, including kids' belt systems with split colors. Rank is recorded per-discipline, so a black-belt judoka joining a BJJ academy correctly starts as a white belt in jiu-jitsu.

FAQ

Judo questions, answered

Does OLM support Kodokan-style Dan promotion records?

Yes. Each Dan grading is logged with issuing sensei, date, dojo, and notes — append-only. Records export as CSV for USA Judo / USJF federation paperwork.

Can we set mat-hour minimums for grading eligibility?

Yes. Configure minimum class-attendance counts per kyu and Dan rank. The dashboard surfaces students who've crossed the threshold so promotions happen on time.

How does shiai registration work?

One-off Stripe charges with weight-class capture, age category, and waiver gating. Roster exports for the tournament desk; registrants get a calendar invite.

Do you support kids' belt systems with split colors?

Yes — the rank field is per-discipline and supports any progression you configure, including IJF kids' systems with split-color stripes.

What about randori safety and injury logging?

Member profiles include a notes timeline for medical concerns and an injury log. Waivers carry annual auto-renewal so medical clearances stay current.
